Imagine a world where your in-game assets are not restricted to a single ecosystem. Where you can take the show from one game and use it in another. The metaverse is, for all intents and purposes, one big ecosystem that all games and ecosystems can be connected through. Assets you get in one game can now be transferred and used in another game within the metaverse, opening up a whole new world of possibilities for gamers and developers alike. No longer do we have to worry about our in-game assets being locked away in a single game, we can now take them with us wherever we go. This is the power of the metaverse.
“The Metaverse has to be a next-generation platform that’s a successor to a lot of communication media that came before it and has to take off at an unprecedented scale.”
—Tim Sweeney
